Gouda – The Gouda Cheese Market attracts many tourists from all over the world every year, but this summer, the focus is also squarely on our youngest visitors!
In addition to the regular Cheese Market, a special Children’s Cheese Market takes place during the summer months, aimed at all children from Gouda and visitors from far beyond. The festive opening on July 10 at 10:00 a.m. will be performed by Alderman Thierry van Vugt, together with the entire children’s council, which is yet to be appointed.

The Children’s Cheese Market takes place behind the Waag and is all about sports, games, and of course: cheese! Children can have a blast playing traditional Dutch games, guided by a very sporty farmer and the cheese girls. This way, they experience the rich history of Gouda cheese in a playful way and meet peers from home and abroad.

The Children’s Cheese Market is open to all children, both from Gouda and young tourists visiting the city. It’s the perfect place to explore, play, and taste together during the summer vacation.
