On Friday, December 13, the Goudse Schouwburg will offer a special musical surprise during Gouda by Candlelight: punk music. The Goudse Popschool presents six energetic bands in the Kleine Zaal. Music lovers can enjoy the rousing sounds of Killing Void, 4 And A Half Girls, The Leftovers, Cheeseheads, Concrete Couchsurfers, and Riders Of The Cameltoe.
The Goudse Schouwburg and the Goudse Popschool are joining forces to provide a stage for young musical talent and let them shine in front of a live audience. Together, they create a stage several times a year where young talent can perform, such as during the atmospheric Gouda by Candlelight. Through this dynamic collaboration, they give the local music culture a powerful boost and bring the region to life with fresh, energetic sounds.
This year’s 69th edition of Gouda by Candlelight is centered on connection and diversity. In addition to punk bands, visitors can enjoy world music and singer-songwriters throughout the theater. The program also includes the official opening concert by the Gouwe Big Band, the popular X-mas Sing Along, and atmospheric performances by local talent in the lobbies.
