Starting at the Markt, Erik will guide you past winding canals and stately merchant’s mansions. Once upon a time, this city was the domain of merchants, skippers, and porters. Here, the fishwives would excitedly share the latest gossip with one another. And here, long ago, a terrible city fire struck terror into the hearts of the people.
