The Festival de Verwondering returns to Gouda in 2026. Today, the Goudse Schouwburg is announcing the program for Thursday, September 17, and Friday, September 18, in the Main Hall, the Small Hall, and the Agnietenkapel. The program includes Circus Ronaldo, SUPERDRUM, Collectief Aqueerius, Zippo Guo, and Might Delete Later. Tickets for these performances will go on sale alongside the theater’s complete new season on Thursday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m.

In the Main Hall, Circus Ronaldo presents the show Swing. A new generation of circus artists presents a playful mix of spectacle, humor, and seduction, accompanied by swing music from the 1940s. Later in the evening, SUPERDRUM can be seen in the Small Hall. A gigantic installation of one hundred drums forms the beating heart of this performance, in which musical theater, technology, and creation myths come together.

During Festival de Verwondering, the Agnietenkapel once again serves as the setting for extraordinary artists. Collectief Aqueerius takes visitors to the extravagant court of Louis XIV in Beyond The Ball. Following that, Zippo Guo presents the performance Invisible. Through physical theater, movement, and magic, an intimate performance emerges about disappearing, observing, and ultimately stepping forward. The evenings will conclude with Might Delete Later, the Latvian-Dutch artist who incorporates old-fashioned voicemail messages into dance music.

Festival de Verwondering is an initiative of the Goudse Schouwburg and is organized in collaboration with all major cultural institutions in the city, including Museum Gouda, Cultuurhuis Garenspinnerij, and Bibliotheek Gouda. More program details will be announced later.
