Popronde is an initiative of the Popwaarts Foundation and is a nationwide traveling festival that takes place every fall, from September through November, in some 40 cities across the country—from Leeuwarden to Middelburg, from Venlo to Alkmaar, and from Deventer to The Hague. During those 12 weeks, Popronde events are held every weekend from Thursday through Sunday. In each city, the scheduled acts perform that evening or day at about twenty venues and locations. Examples of participating venues include cafés, galleries, theaters, record stores, churches, pop venues, and clubs in the city center. For one evening a year, these venues serve as a showcase for the new generation of pop musicians, and the city center becomes the festival grounds.
So on November 25, the Popronde is coming to Gouda, too!
