The new "SECRET HIGHLIGHTS" photo tour reveals the city's best-kept secrets.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro with a DSLR or an enthusiastic amateur with a smartphone, Gouda is showing off its most photogenic side this year.
Two local professional photographers are launching a series of unique photo walks that take participants past the hidden highlights of the historic city center. While most city tours only stop at the well-known monuments, this photo tour delves deeper. Guides Anna Green and Martine Boegheim, who together have over 20 years of experience in photography, will share their knowledge of Gouda’s best-kept secrets and their photography tips with you. From the tranquil atmosphere of the medieval courtyards to the raw energy of the Museumhaven, participants will discover places and stories that normally remain out of sight.
Focus on practice and creativity
The walks are suitable for everyone. “We want to show that you don’t need thousands of euros worth of equipment to take beautiful photos,” say Anna and Martine. “Smartphone photography has come a long way. We’ll teach you how to make the most of this technology, from composition to smart editing techniques.”
An unforgettable experience
The walk is more than just a technical lesson; the photographers guarantee—almost—that every participant will go home with that one perfect photo that tells the personal story of their visit to the city of Gouda.
