On Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, GOUDasfalt will be hosting the World Food & Film Festival. While adults immerse themselves in films, global flavors, music, and stories, children can also embark on their own journey around the world. Spread throughout the festival grounds is an extensive children’s program featuring free activities, ranging from magic shows, face painting, and hula hooping to music and creative workshops.
During the festival, children can explore various forms of art and culture. For example, the Crazy Magician takes children on an interactive mini-show full of surprises. Marley’s Magical Storytime also turns storytelling into an experience. Marley from Marley Praat Passie takes children on a journey through extraordinary stories where new situations, emotions, cultures, and words come to life. During Robboxx’s workshop, the youngest children embark on a musical Rhythm Journey Around the World. At Nzuri Creates, creativity takes center stage. Using colorful materials and coloring books in which African diversity and history play a key role, children discover more about identity, feelings, and self-expression in an accessible way.
The World Food & Film Festival brings worlds together through food, film, music, and stories. Visitors can sample dishes and flavors from different cultures, watch films that offer new perspectives, and listen to music and stories that literally bring the world closer.
