Which trailer makes you want to see more?

In the run-up to the 2026 Gouds Film Festival (GFF) on Saturday, June 13, a public vote is being organized in collaboration with Kwadraad Social Work: at the Gouds community centers De Walvis, Van Noord, and Nelson Mandela Centrum, visitors will have the opportunity to watch movie trailers from participating filmmakers and vote for their favorite. Voters at each location will have a chance to win a ticket to the Gouds Film Festival.

Through this contest, the Gouds Film Festival aims to introduce a broad audience to short films and new film talent in an accessible way. The trailer contest will take place on:

  • Tuesday afternoon, June 9, at De Walvis (Walvisstraat 1, Gouda)
  • Wednesday afternoon, June 10, at Van Noord (Lekkenburg 1, Gouda)
  • Thursday morning, June 11, at the Nelson Mandela Center (Bernadottelaan 79, Gouda)

Gouds Film Festival: June 13, 2026
In recent years, the Gouds Film Festival has grown into a platform for both emerging and more experienced filmmakers from across the Netherlands. The festival focuses on short fiction, documentary, and animated films. Visitors can also attend workshops and meet filmmakers.

One of the program components during the 2026 edition is the workshop “Color & Storytelling in Film,” led by multidisciplinary artist Mitonya Quist of the Gouda-based collective Jong Belegen. The workshop will focus on the role of color in film and visual storytelling. You can register for the workshop viathis link:
