The Chocolate Factory | Gouda Library
The Chocolate Factory at Klein Amerika 20, the building that now houses the Gouda Library, was actually a chocolate factory in the past. From 1972 to 1983, it was home to Steenland Chocolade, a chocolate manufacturer with roots in Gouda that is best known for its chocolate coins. This is also why at the Kruim café, also located in the Chocolate Factory, a chocolate coin is always served with coffee. A nod to the building’s rich history.
