Berg's Bakery was founded in 1864 and has been a Purveyor to the Royal Household since 2014. Mike van den Berg, his wife Simone, and their team have been running the business since 2020. Mike is the sixth generation of the van den Berg family to carry on the business. The company began in Stolwijk in 1864, moved to Waddinxveen in 1960, and expanded to Gouda in 1989.
Van Vliet Siroopwafels in Gouda has been acquired and is now an important part of Berg's Bakery. Fresh syrup waffles are baked daily at the bakery.
Since 2020, Berg's Bakery in Gouda has served as the company's headquarters.

Van Vliet’s Syrup Waffles has been part of the Van den Berg family business since 1989. Since 1882, Van Vliet has been baking authentic Gouda syrup waffles with expert craftsmanship, following an old secret recipe that gives them a unique flavor.
