Fresh, hand-cut fries

In 1967, Bram Ladage sold his first cones of hand-cut fresh fries at the Rotterdam market. He learned the tricks of the trade from his father, who had been in the “fry business” for quite some time. But Bram wanted to do things his own way…. “Come on, come get those golden-yellow fries!” he called out from among the flapping market awnings.

After operating several market stalls in Rotterdam, it was time for a real store. The first location opened in 1987 on Wijdstraat in Gouda. At the time, it was still operating under the name Rocco Ladage.

Nearly 60 years later, the family-owned business has more than 45 locations in South Holland, Utrecht, and North Brabant. Most of these locations are run by franchisees, nearly all of whom started their first job at Bram’s. Today, they make more than just fries, but they still do so with the same passion and craftsmanship.
