Step back in time this summer with the Gouda Guides Guild
The Gouda Guide Guild is the largest provider of city walks in Gouda. More than 25 experienced guides are ready to show you the most beautiful spots in Gouda every day. These include the late-Gothic Town Hall, St. John’s Church with its 70 stained-glass windows, and the Catharina Gasthuis, originally a hospital. The Kaaswaag, where farmers brought their cheeses by horse and cart for centuries, also has a rich history.
Interested in joining us for a walk?
During the summer months, you can book a beginner’s walk three days a week:
- From Wednesday, June 3, through Wednesday, August 26, every Wednesday during Gouds Montmartre you can take a city walk past beautiful gateways and narrow alleys.
- From Thursday, April 2, through Thursday, August 27, after the Gouda Cheese Market, you can take a historical city walk past Gouda's most important monuments, but you will also discover lesser-known and hidden corners of the city.
- From Saturday, June 6, through Saturday, August 29 (except Saturday, June 13, and Saturday, July 4), you can join us on a discovery tour of the city's most beautiful and important buildings. The city center of Gouda has more than 300 monuments. The walks start every day at 2:00 p.m. and last until 3:30 p.m. We depart from the Goudse Waag/VVV Gouda on the Markt in Gouda.
The price is 5 euros per person. Children 12 and under are free.
The maximum group size per guide is 20 people. Of course, it’s also possible to organize a group tour, for example for a family celebration or a company outing. Visit our website for more information.
