Whether you come by train or car, Gouda is easy to reach! The station is only a 5-minute walk from the historic center.
By public transport or car
Public transport
Gouda Station is an intercity station with direct connections to Rotterdam, Utrecht, and The Hague (±20 minutes). From Amsterdam, you can travel to Gouda in about 50 minutes (directly or with one transfer). Up-to-date travel information can be found via NS, Arriva, and 9292.
Parking
There are several parking garages and lots in and around the city center. Follow the signs for the fastest route. Parking on the city center ring road is usually the cheapest option, but you can also park along the canals and in the city center. Please note that parking spaces are limited here and payment is by debit card or parking app.

Charging & accessibility
- There are several public charging stations in Gouda.
- Disabled parking is free in general disabled parking spaces (with a valid card, no license plate registration required). The card must be visible behind the windshield.
By bicycle
Bicycle parking Nieuwe Markt
At Nieuwe Markt, you will find a public, indoor, and secure bicycle parking facility with space for no fewer than 700 bicycles.
Facilities:
- Free parking for the first 24 hours
- After that, €1.25 per day
- Double-layer parking facility for regular bicycles
- Extra space for crate bikes, cargo bikes, and other unusual models
- 70 free charging points for e-bikes
- 2 public, gender-neutral toilets + 1 disabled toilet
- Baby changing room
- 40 free lockable luggage lockers (40 x 50 x 80 cm)
registration Upon arrival, your bicycle will be assigned a unique barcode. This barcode will be scanned when you check in and check out. This automatically records how long your bicycle has been in the parking facility. You can reuse the barcode on subsequent visits.

- Monday: 10:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
- Tuesday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.
- Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
With the camper
Close to the city center is the Klein Amerika parking lot with 29 special RV spaces (up to 6 meters). Larger RVs can park at the Groenheuvel parking lot. The RV spaces are clearly marked. There are facilities for drinking water, limited electricity, and waste water.
