Gouda - On Sunday, April 26, and Monday, April 27, event organizer Gouds Geluk will be hosting King's Night and King's Day on the Market Square in Gouda for the third year in a row. The free events will take place despite the renovation of the town hall. Nevertheless, the organization has once again managed to put together a full program. The first artists will be announced shortly on social media.

Orange Happiness
Since 2024, Gouds Geluk has been organizing King's Night and King's Day in Gouda under the name "Orange Happiness." It also organizes events such as the Gouds Geluk Food Festival, Undercover Festival Gouda, and Oranje Geluk Festival at GOUDasfalt. In 2026, all these events will be brought together in one big festival weekend at GOUDasfalt, which will take place on July 3, 4, and 5.

During both King's Night and King's Day, visitors can look forward to an extensive musical program. Last year, Russo, Frans Duijts, and Davy Keys, among others, performed on stage during King's Night. During King's Day, various bands performed, including Coming On Strong, known from the television program The Tribute – Battle of the Bands. This year, the organization promises another strong program. The complete program will be announced shortly via the social media channels of Oranje Geluk (@oranjegeluk), among others.

King's Day On Monday, April 27, a festive day program will take place on the Market Square. The day will start with an official and festive kick-off, during which the flag will be raised in the presence of the mayor. This will be followed by various activities. After a successful first edition, the Gouda Chair Dance Championship will return on Monday morning. From 1:00 p.m., the musical program will start on stage during King's Day, and the bars and food trucks will open for a festive day for young and old.

A considerable challenge
Organizing free events such as King's Night and King's Day remains a considerable financial challenge, according to Gouds Geluk. The organization is therefore once again calling on visitors to adhere to the house rules, not to bring their own drinks, and to only order drinks from the official bars. In addition, the Gouda business community is invited to support the events in exchange for visibility and VIP packages, among other things. In this way, the events can hopefully continue to exist in the future.
