Organizer Gouds Geluk has announced the lineup for King's Night and King's Day on the Market Square in Gouda. For two days, the city center will be all about music and fun. Emma Heesters and Sven Versteeg, among others, will perform during the free event. At the same time, the organizers are calling on visitors to purchase drinks exclusively at the official bars and to adhere to the house rules. Due to rising costs and increasing organizational pressure, they believe this is the only way to continue organizing free events such as this one.
King's Night
On Sunday, April 26, the Market Square in Gouda will be transformed into a huge musical party with a mix of established names, up-and-coming talent, and local artists. One of the highlights is Emma Heesters, who has become a fixture at major festivals throughout the Netherlands. Sven Versteeg, who scored a huge hit last year with "Blikkendag," was also high on the organization's wish list.
Also on the program are BENR, known for their recent collaboration with Miss Montreal, and the promising artist Mara Julia. Radio DJ Barry Paf brings his new act '100%NL MeezingMix' to Gouda, where he and a singer will perform a show full of recognizable hits. The party band Jazzalike, which performed at King's Day last year, returns. Gouda DJ Fresh Coast, who has guaranteed a great party in recent years, will also be there again.
King's Day
Monday, April 27, is all about King's Day on the Market Square in Gouda. As in previous years, the day will start with a festive aubade, followed by the Gouda Chair Dance Championship for children. The musical program on stage will start at 1:00 p.m. This year, visitors can enjoy the party bands Van Eigen Bodem and Let's Get Loud. In addition, tribute bands CCR Undercover (music by Creedence Clearwater Revival) and Winnetoe (music by Doe Maar) will bring well-known classics to life. The DJs from Superfuif will provide the musical accompaniment between performances.
