Cinema Gouda Opens Its Doors to Seniors 65 and Older During Code Orange: Free Movie Tickets to Cool Off
Due to the extreme temperatures and the Code Orange warning, Cinema Gouda is offering free movie tickets to residents aged 65 and older from today through Sunday, June 28.
With this promotion, Cinema Gouda aims to offer seniors a comfortable, air-conditioned environment during hot days. Visitors aged 65 and older can receive a free ticket for a movie of their choice from the current lineup upon presentation of valid identification at the ticket counter.
"During this exceptional heat wave, we’d like to do our part for our older residents, who are particularly vulnerable in this weather. Our movie theater offers a pleasant, air-conditioned environment where visitors can escape the heat for a few hours while enjoying a great movie,"said Nina Angkotta, marketing & communications manager.
The current movie lineup can be found on the Cinema Gouda website. Some highlights from the lineup include the classic *Notting Hill*: a charming romantic comedy about a humble bookseller in London who falls in love with a world-famous movie star. *The Devil Wears Prada 2*, the sequel to the beloved fashion comedy, takes us back into the hectic world of fashion journalism. Or *Michael*, agrand-scale biopic about the life of Michael Jackson, from his childhood as a star in the Jackson 5 to his global breakthrough as the “King of Pop.” A pied d'oeuvre has received rave reviews and isalow-key French film about a woman trying to rebuild her life after a life-altering event. At a leisurely pace, a story unfolds about loss, resilience, and rediscovering meaning, with an eye for small, human moments.
Our Cine+ lineup includes, among others, *The Tasters*: a historical drama about women who are forced to taste Hitler’s food during World War II. A poignant story about fear, loyalty, and moral dilemmas in uncertain times. And *The Birthday Party*: Apsychological and slightly absurdist story in which a seemingly normal birthday party slowly turns into something uncomfortable and mysterious. It explores human relationships, power, and identity.
Visitors can choose which movie they want to see, depending on availability.
The promotion runs from today through Sunday, June 28, and is available exclusively to visitors aged 65 and older. Free tickets are available at the ticket counter upon presentation of valid identification.
