The Willem Vroesenhuis is a retirement home in Gouda founded by Willem Willemszoon Vroesen the Elder in 1555.

The house is located on the corner of Molenwerf and Spieringstraat in the center of Gouda.

In 1555, Willem Vroesen (Gouda, 1478–1561) decided to make his house and property available to provide shelter for poor elderly men in the city of Gouda. Willem Vroesen was among the city’s prominent citizens, who held important positions. One of his granddaughters, Adriana Vroesen, later married the mayor of Gouda, Pieter Wouterszoon Crabeth[1], son of the well-known stained-glass artist of St. John’s Church, Wouter Crabeth. As early as 1537, Willem Vroesen and his wife Machtelt Voppendochter had set aside a substantial sum of money to distribute bread to the poor during the winter.
