PUUR Chocolate
This creates an interaction with the customer at any time of day. Whether they’re enjoying a cup of espresso or buying chocolates, there’s always contact with the customer, and we can immediately cater to any chocolate-related request—whether it’s a child’s drawing on chocolate or chocolates with a logo or monogram for a reception or wedding.
The store has been designed in its own trendy style—some customers even say they find the atmosphere un-Dutch and feel as if they’re in New York or Barcelona. In keeping with the concept, the store features minimalist materials such as glass, wood, and stainless steel, and the bonbons and other chocolate products are literally “displayed” in beautiful showcases. The packaging also has a clean, minimalist look. The concept has been executed down to the last detail, from stainless steel cappuccino cups to the logo on the restroom doors.
It’s not just the interior that has been crafted to perfection. According to Peter van Driel, the bonbons and chocolate creations must also look perfect and invite you to take a bite. And they certainly do. From the “strawberry bomb” to the pure perfection of the widely acclaimed port bonbon. This pursuit of perfection was inherited from his maternal grandfather, who ran a chocolate factory in Amsterdam at the beginning of the last century. He, too, could spend just as much time searching for the right flavor and the right appearance. So there you have it: history repeats itself. Few taste experiences are as sensual as sampling chocolate of the very highest quality. That is why Chocoladeatelier PUUR has chosen the so-called Rolls Royce among chocolate suppliers: Valrhona.
Every effort has been made to ensure that customers (guests) feel at ease. While enjoying a delicious espresso, cappuccino, or hot chocolate, accompanied by a bonbon of their choice, guests can relax with a current magazine or watch the chocolatier at work, who often chatters away about his craft and offers samples of his new creations. For customers who want to learn more about making their own chocolates, Chocoladeatelier PUUR organizes chocolate workshops. Customized tastings are also available. For more information about the tasting, please call us or stop by the shop.
