Libertum is current and interactive. Provocative and challenging. Innovative and unique.

Libertum is an organization based in Gouda that strives to build a peaceful society. It does this by, among other things, maintaining an interactive museum and providing citizenship education in schools: teaching 21st-century skills that enable students to participate in today’s diverse society based on equality and shared responsibility. Libertum is developing a Freedom Experience, an exhibition that tells the story of peace and freedom.
Note: our interactive museum is not yet open, and the exhibition is not yet accessible to the public!
Past and present blend together, immersing you in stories and images, real and virtual worlds. What choices must we make to achieve peace and freedom—and what choices to preserve them? Libertum invites you to question what we take for granted and challenges you to reflect on your own identity, values, and freedom. What is your role in society?
