An antique music and dance hall, built in 1912 by the Teugels brothers from Walem (Belgium).

The Spiegeltent in Gouda has become a household name. This antique music and dance hall, built in 1912 by the Teugels brothers from Walem (Belgium), was blown over during a severe storm in Scheveningen in 1976 and subsequently stored on a trailer. In 1981, Berry Rutjes Sr. managed to acquire this unique tent and, with great love, blood, sweat, and tears, and a keen sense of authenticity, restored it before permanently erecting it in 1982 in a former canal-side warehouse in the charming, historic city of Gouda.

This mirror tent no longer travels from place to place, but the joy people experience in and around this magnificent specimen is just as great as it was a century ago!!
