De Firma Kunstcentrum Gouda provides a platform for professional artists from Gouda and the surrounding area; it serves as an incubator for talent and a meeting place for artists and the public. De Firma’s goal is to bring all forms of contemporary art to the attention of as wide an audience as possible. In doing so, it enhances the arts scene in Gouda and promotes the economic independence of artists.
There are well over a hundred professional artists registered as members with De Firma.
The policy of De Firma Kunstcentrum Gouda is focused on supporting artists from Gouda and the surrounding area. By enabling artists to exhibit their work, perform, and participate in activities and projects, De Firma also ensures that the public in Gouda has the opportunity to experience these works. De Firma also encourages interaction between artists and the residents of Gouda. De Firma devotes a great deal of time to establishing and maintaining contacts with other (Gouda-based) organizations in the fields of art and culture and collaborates with these organizations whenever possible.
