Paagman Gouda

Paagman Gouda is Paagman’s fifth store. The bookstore on Lange Tiendeweg is a true institution in Gouda and the surrounding area, thanks to over 80 years of dedicated leadership by the Verkaaik family and 10 years under the leadership of Bart Jansen. Since April 2022, Boekhandel Verkaaik on Lange Tiendeweg has been acquired by the family-owned business Paagman, led by third-generation owners Nadine and Fabian Paagman. Paagman has been located in The Hague’s Statenkwartier since 1951 and, over the past 70+ years, has grown into the leading bookstore with five locations, also selling office supplies, music, and catering supplies. Boekhandel Verkaaik was founded in 1928 by Thijs Verkaaik. Even back then, the store was located in its current building on Lange Tiendeweg. When the store first opened, the books were kept behind a counter, so you had to ask to look at them. Over the years, the store has undergone regular renovations, and the total retail space now spans 230 square meters. Since the name change to Paagman Gouda, customers in Gouda have been able to enjoy the benefits Paagman has to offer. These include the ability to order online via paagman.nl, use the Paagman Gift Card in Gouda, and participate in the Paagman Privilege membership program. In addition to the store in Gouda, Paagman has locations in The Hague’s Statenkwartier, downtown The Hague, Delft, and the Westfield Mall of the Netherlands shopping center (Leidschendam).
