Sculpture trail Nieuwe Parkwijk
We begin our sculpture route at Gouda station, where Johan Uiterwaal's sculpture group stands above the entrance.
The sculptures were made from fired stoneware in 1949 and were relocated in 1984 to the then new station building. The statue of the Crabeth brothers, which is part of the sculpture group, was moved to the garden of Museum Gouda in 2010. There, the brothers have a good view of their stained-glass windows in St. John's Church. The sculpture group at the station depicts the old crafts and industries of Gouda.
