This summer, you don’t have to leave Gouda to enjoy that wonderful vacation feeling. On August 1, 15, and 29, GOUDasfalt will transform into a lively gathering spot during “Zomer aan de Overkant.” From 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., you can enjoy live music, a fun market, children’s activities, and delicious food and drinks—all for free.
Creators, entrepreneurs, and organizers at GOUDasfalt are joining forces for this new summer event. Whether you come to relax on the patio, browse the stalls, or enjoy live music, there’s something for everyone.

Live music
- 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Berkley Brothers (in the square)
- 8:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: The Golden Boys (De Theaterbakkerij)
Mini Market
Between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., you can stop by various booths offering, among other things:
- Upcycled Products by Vuigmakers
- Vintage clothing by Doe Lomp
- LP Sales
- Coffee Tasting by BoonR Coffee Roaster
- 3D Printing Demonstrations
- Bee Demonstrations by Holland Bijen

For the kids
Even the youngest visitors won’t be bored. From 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., activities include:
- An inflatable bounce house
- Traditional Dutch Games
- Make a bike tire keychain at Vuigmakers (€5 or free with the purchase of a bike tire strap)

The patio is open from 3:00 p.m. for a bite to eat and a drink.

End the day with The Golden Boys
The first edition will conclude with a festive, free concert by The Golden Boys at De Theaterbakkerij. From 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Ron Knoester, Martin van der Starre, and Dennis van Hoorn will perform an evening full of acoustic classics from the 1950s through the 1990s.
Expect songs by Golden Earring, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Everly Brothers, Crowded House, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, Otis Redding, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Bill Withers, and others.
