Create your own silver jewelry during the "Creative with Silver Clay" workshop at GOUDasfalt
Have you always been curious about how to make a piece of real silver jewelry? On Saturday, October 17, and Saturday, December 19 , GOUDasfalt is hosting a creative workshop called “Creative with Silver Clay” at the Kleiwerkplaats Witheet. During this fun morning, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of silver clay and get hands-on experience working with clay that transforms into pure silver after processing.
Silver clay feels just like regular clay, but after it has been carefully shaped and fired, the result is a unique piece of silver jewelry that you’ve made with your own hands—a special keepsake or personal gift.
The workshop is led by Lien van der Meulen, who will guide you through the process step by step. The day begins with a welcome reception featuring coffee, tea, and a treat. You’ll then receive a practical introduction to working with silver clay and start designing: whether you choose to make a ring, earrings, or a pendant, it all starts with your creative idea. After modeling, your design will be dried, finished, fired, and finally polished by hand.
The workshop runs from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m., is open to everyone (no experience necessary), and is held in a small group so you’ll receive plenty of personal guidance. The cost is €115 per person, which includes 10 grams of silver clay, use of tools, and coffee/tea with a snack.
