Plenty of activities at the petting zoo during fall break
During the summer break, activities are organized every day at De Goudse Hofsteden petting zoo. Children are welcome to come and do crafts every day, from coloring bags to painting piggy banks. No registration is required for these activities. For other activities, you can register via the website.
Here’s a sampling of the activities: For animal lovers, there’s the Animal Lovers’ Morning—help take care of our animals, play a fun game, and finish up with pancakes! Pony and donkey lovers can get involved, too: help groom them, play a fun game, decorate a cupcake, and finish with a fun pony craft.
We’ll have special animals visiting us again this vacation—join Exotus Serpentie’s reptile morning or meet the owls and birds of prey at Uiltopia. There are also plenty of activities for craft lovers: we’ll be making lanterns, coloring tiles, crafting hedgehogs, and more.
You don't have to eat at home—you can also eat at the petting zoo, where they serve freshly made sandwiches, pancakes, poffertjes, and much more! The petting zoo is also open on Mondays.
We’re open in the evenings, too! During fall break—from Tuesday evening, October 20, through Saturday, October 24—you’re welcome to join us every evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for a unique event: Light at the Farm!
Following last year's success, we are organizing the third edition this fall break, featuring a host of new elements.
Our entire grounds will be illuminated and decorated in a special way. Sound, music, smoke, and fog effects will complete the picture! Take a look around the space, discover the fairies, elves, butterflies, and more, and meet a very large sea creature. There’s plenty to discover and experience during these unique evenings. In the discovery loft, children can play with light and make a craft using light. We’ve also got you covered when it comes to food and drinks—hot beverages and snacks are available both inside the restaurant and on the patio.
