On Friday, September 11, we will celebrate Gouda’s Local Veterans Day. The event will highlight veterans’ commitment to peace, freedom, and security. Veterans from Gouda and Bodegraven-Reeuwijk will be in attendance, but you are also warmly welcome. At Goudasfalt, you can watch a demonstration of military vehicles, among other activities.
This year, the event is bigger than ever before, because the municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk has joined the foundation.
Veterans' Day will take place at the Goudasfalt/Paviljoen Gouwestrand location at Gouderaksedijk 36 in Gouda. Every year, the event attracts veterans from Gouda, their families, and guests, including the mayor and aldermen.
Appeal
The program begins at 4:00 p.m. with roll call and the national anthem. This will be followed by a brief presentation on current developments. Afterward, there will be a social gathering where visitors can watch a demonstration featuring military vehicles.
