Following the success of recent years, the third edition of “Techniek Tastbaar” will take place in Gouda on Friday, October 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this hands-on event, local companies will introduce students ages 10 through 14 to engineering and technology in a professional setting. “Techniek Tastbaar” is organized by Techniek Talent Gouda and will take place this year at the Driestar Gouda location (Gamma building), Ronsseplein 1 in Gouda. Students are welcome to attend with their entire class during school hours and with their parents or grandparents after school. Admission is free.
Get Started on Your Own
Do it yourself, discover it yourself, experience it yourself—that’s the essence of “Techniek Tastbaar”! Welding, bricklaying, carpentry, programming, building, installing… students can do it all themselves. This event offers students a fantastic opportunity to discover how technology plays a role in their everyday lives. When choosing a school, academic track, field of study, or potential career path, it’s very helpful to gain as much hands-on experience as possible, hear from companies, and consider whether a particular path might be right for you.
Companies
This year, the event is bigger than ever: nearly 50 companies and training providers from the region are contributing to the event. They have all come up with an activity related to the engineering or technology involved in their professional practice. In addition, employees can tell the students all about careers in engineering and the training required for those careers.
Future employer?
So, here’s a call to parents and teachers: come together to let your children and students experience and explore technology, and get to know the companies in the region… they might even be their future employers!
