On Friday, October 2, music by Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed at De Lichtwijzer.
Under the direction of Gerben Budding, the St. Janscantorij will perform excerpts from a Bach cantata and works by Mendelssohn and Britten, among others.
Bach’s music and the organ have been closely linked for centuries. This music will be performed at De Lichtwijzer on October 2 as part of the campaign to preserve the Van den Brink organ.
The St. Janscantorij, conducted by city organist Gerben Budding, will perform excerpts from a Bach cantata as well as music by Mendelssohn and Britten this evening. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful music while supporting the preservation of the Van den Brink organ. Organist Gerco Bor, a student at Codarts Rotterdam. In addition to accompanying the choir, he will also perform as a soloist and play four-handed pieces with his former teacher, Gerben Budding.
