True music lovers in Gouda have already marked Saturday, April 18, on their calendars, because that’s Record Store Day. That means new releases, live performances at record stores, and a free single by Ilse DeLange for the first 6,000 visitors. Sounds like music to your ears, doesn’t it?
On Record Store Day, a total of 160 artists will give more than 250 free in-store performances at record stores across the Netherlands. Music lovers will have the chance to see artists such as Ilse DeLange, Di-rect, Eefje de Visser, Flemming, and Douwe Bob perform up close among the record bins.

From Taylor Swift to Di-rect
In previous years, artists such as De Staat, Kensington, Eefje de Visser, Typhoon, DeWolff, and Di-rect have participated in Record Store Day. International ambassadors have included Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, Dave Grohl, Ozzy Osbourne, and Metallica.
This year, Ilse DeLange is the Dutch ambassador for Record Store Day. An exclusive EP has been released especially for this occasion and will be available for free on Record Store Day to the first 6,000 customers. Isn’t that incredible?
