From Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 28, Gouda will once again be buzzing with musical energy, as the third edition of Gouda Pop Week takes place. Organized by the Cultural Surprises Foundation, this week promises to be a unique experience in which Gouda celebrates its rich musical heritage and puts local talent in the spotlight.
Some of the highlights of Gouda Pop Week include “Gouda Leeft,” featuring over thirty live performances throughout the city, a jam session at Houtmansplantsoen, as well as a living room concert, an open mic night, and a pub quiz, plus popular events like “Rock uit de Regio” at So What!, an in-store event at the Free Music record store, and the Goudse Popmarkt at the Goudse Schouwburg.
Gouda Leeft connects culture with the city: the festival brings live music right to the doorsteps of local businesses, making music an integral part of Gouda’s streetscape. Each venue contributes to the atmosphere and the experience—ranging from cozy and intimate to exuberant and raw.
