Calling all music lovers: the third edition of Gouda Pop Week features a spectacular opening concert and a fun Pop Quiz at Check’s. The music café, located on Achter de Kerk in Gouda, is one of the atmospheric hotspots during Popweek. From Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 28, the city will be all about live music, local talent, and surprising performances at more than fifty different venues in Gouda.
Popweek kicks off on Friday, June 19, with a performance by RENA at Check’s. This versatile Dutch singer impresses with her unique blend of country rock and soulful ballads. In 2025, RENA appeared on Talent Unplugged on SBS6, where she was part of Douwe Bob’s team. She is now making a name for herself with performances throughout the country.
On Wednesday, June 24, Check’s will be all about musical knowledge and fun during the Pop Quiz. Teams of up to five people will compete against each other in an evening filled with varied questions, ranging from timeless classics to contemporary hits.
