During Gouda Pop Week, you can enjoy a unique program at the museum where you won’t just watch and listen, but will also be invited to really take a moment to pause or even lie down. On Friday, June 26, a “lying-down concert” will take place featuring Gouda Pop Prize winner Rositha Rikkers.

The cell-phone-free lying-down concert is centered around the themeof Faith, featuring new work by singer-songwriterRositha Rikkerswritten specifically for the exhibition. In a cozy setting filled with pillows, rugs, and mood lighting, visitors are immersed in music that touches on profound questions: about searching, finding meaning, and finding a sense of security. The concert is interwoven with a visit to the exhibition and brief conversations among visitors, creating a unique experience that goes beyond simply listening.

Practical Information
It can get a bit chilly in the museum in the evening. So be sure to bring a blanket or wear an extra layer. You can lie down during the concert, but there are also places to sit. If you’re coming in a wheelchair, please let us know in advance by sending an email to info@museumgouda.nl.

With these special program segments, the Gouda Pop Week shows how music can bring people together, foster deeper connections, and open up new perspectives right in the heart of the city.
