Skûtsje sailing with model boats, traditional crafts, the Fish and Ships shanty festival, and much, much more
Three days of festivities at Museumhaven Gouda during the Museumhaven Days, featuring seven model skûtsjes sailing into the harbor basin as special guests.
The Museum Harbor Days Gouda is a biennial event on the quay of Museum Harbor Gouda, near the Mallegat Lock.
On Friday evening, June 13, the opening is at 7:00 p.m., followed by Irish music. On Saturday, June 14, there are plenty of activities to see and experience. More than forty museum ships are moored in the harbor, which can be admired from the outside and sometimes even on board.

Demonstrationsof traditional crafts at the "
"
On Saturday, there will be demonstrations of traditional crafts related to the shipping industry, such as tanning, blacksmithing, rope-making, cooperage, eel smoking, etc.…

Sailing with model sailboats
Skûtsje sailing in Gouda? The Hague Model Boat Building Club will be giving demonstrations with their model boats. Seven skûtsjes will be on the water. In addition, there will be other model ships on display, and children can sail small model sailboats in the harbor basin.

The Gouda Rowing and Sailing Club is showcasing a real gem: a 100-year-old sailing wherry.

GWV Elfhoeven is there with a rowing boat.

You can contact either of these organizations for information on what there is to do at the Reeuwijkseplassen.

Children's Activitiesat the "
" There are fun activities for children at the crafts area, such as rope-making, crafting wooden clog boats, and sailing the model sailboats mentioned earlier.

Ship Tattoos
The tattoos worn by sailors each tell a story. For example, a sailor might get a tattoo of a turtle after crossing the equator, or a dragon after passing the International Date Line near China.

Ten ship-shaped stickers have been designed especially for these Museum Harbor Days. They’re not just for kids!

Boat Tours
You can take a boat tour of Gouda from the Werfhuijs on the Vest. Cruise past more than forty museum ships in the Turfsingel.
