Art, Connection, and Inspiration During “Week Against Loneliness”

From September 24 through 30, Gouda will also be celebrating “Week Against Loneliness.” 

To encourage social interaction and connection, various activities have been organized in the city, such as a delightful morning filled with art, socializing, and inspiration at the Unit4Art Art Gallery.

During a guided tour, participants are taken past various works of art, with special attention given to the current and unique textile exhibition “Threads of Imagination.” A surprising exhibition that centers on textiles, thread, and other materials. Especially for these days, a short stop-motion film—which is normally only shown in movie theaters—will be screened on a video ball, featuring textile fragments by artist Stellata Koppe. 

After the tour, there will be an opportunity to chat over coffee and cookies. Art isn’t just something to look at—it’s also a wonderful opportunity to get together, share stories, and meet new people.
