Costume Party at the Goudse Schouwburg
On Sunday afternoon, June 21, 2026, the Goudse Schouwburg will transform into a vibrant gathering place for fashion lovers, creative types, and sustainability advocates during the Kledingswap Party. This event is part of Goudse Popweek and will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Studio 67. Registration for the Kledingswap Party is required and can be done via: https://bit.ly/DGS_Kledingswap
The Clothing Swap Party is about more than just swapping clothes. It’s an accessible and inspiring way to engage more consciously with fashion, meet new people, and reinvent your own style. At a time when fast fashion is increasingly under scrutiny, this afternoon offers a sustainable alternative: give clothes you no longer wear a second life and discover hidden gems from others.
Visitors may bring up to 10 clothing items (excluding shoes and accessories). For each approved item, they will receive a ticket, which they can use to select other items. This creates a fair and transparent swap system. All clothing must be clean and in good condition; damaged or soiled items will not be accepted.
In addition to the swap itself, there is plenty of room for socializing and inspiration. With fitting rooms and mirrors, visitors can try on and mix and match their new outfits right away. Meanwhile, in the Main Hall, the Gouda Pop Market features more than 50 artists from Gouda, and in the foyers, there is music all day long and free children’s performances.
With the Clothing Swap Party, the Goudse Schouwburg underscores its role as a cultural meeting place where not only performing arts but also social themes such as sustainability and conscious consumption are given a platform.
