The Dutch Ceramics School (NKO) in Gouda is the only professional training program for ceramists in the Netherlands. Students come from all over the country to master this craft.
After completing their three-year program, students take an exam in which they demonstrate their skills as aspiring ceramic artists. The curator of Museum Gouda and the instructors at the NKO have selected works from the exam collection, which will be on view from June 13 through October 25, 2026, in the exhibition “Brand-New Ceramics.”
