In the exhibition “Meet the Artists in Motion,” 14 selected artists from the European artists’ collective Artists in Motion (AiM), hailing from seven different countries, showcase a wide variety of disciplines, ranging from sculptures and classical oil paintings to experimental works using unusual natural materials such as olives, juice, and squid ink.
Through their projects, which are spread across Europe, AiM and its collective are paving the way in a creative and original manner for sustainable collaboration, engaging in dialogue on topics of European importance.
For art lovers and curious visitors alike, this is a unique opportunity to experience the richness of European artistic collaboration in a dynamic international exhibition.
A number of AiM artists will be present during the exhibition to meet visitors in person and engage in conversation.
On Friday, June 26, at 6:00 p.m., the exhibition will be opened by German artist and AiM chairman Gerd Lepic.
Following that, Austrian artist Gerald Jatzek will present a multilingual musical performance.
The closing event will take place on Sunday, July 5, at 6:00 p.m., featuring the performance “A few things” by Belgian artist Wim Scheere. The exhibition “Meet the Artists in Motion” is on view at Unit4Art, the largest gallery in the Netherlands, located at Crabethpark 24 in Gouda, just a short walk from the train station.
During this exhibition, Unit4Art will be open all week, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on the usual Friday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
