Gouda - The fall exhibition “Inside & Outside the Dutch Maiden” is on display at Oosthaven 28 (near Museum Gouda). The gallery window features paintings by Marloes Wijtsma, Nathalie Verkade, Ton van Steenbergen, and Anita Gaasbeek. Janna van der Kaa has new bronze sculptures on display, and Ton van Steenbergen has brought new paintings of animals and sketches of Gouda. The gallery also features large and small paintings, including donkeys by Jasper Hulshoff Pol, landscapes by Gilles de Rooij and Leo van der Vlist, porcelain by Patricia Lotens, glass animals by Monika Rubaniuk, glass objects by Richard Price, and wall art and jewelry by Susanne Bagaya and Greetje Sieders. And there are also bronze sculptures by Jeanette Jansen, Joep Verheijden, and Caroline Horchner. Come take a look and enjoy!

On Crazy Saturday, October 17, Anita Gaasbeek (dressed entirely in period style) will be painting with oil on panel in the storefront window of the canal-side building “De Hollandsche Maagd.” Visitors can pick up a copy of the booklet *Havenverhalen* (while supplies last), which features stories about centuries-old buildings along the Oosthaven and Westhaven. The exhibition runs through October 31, 2026, and is open on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can also (by appointment) try your hand at a last-minute painting workshop in Anita Gaasbeek’s studio behind the gallery. Visit the website for more information about the painting workshops taught by Anita Gaasbeek.
(Please note: De Hollandsche Maagd will be closed on Thursday, October 22, and Friday, October 23.)
