A grocery bag, a roll of toilet paper, nail polish, high-heeled shoes, or eau de toilette. With these images drawn from everyday life, Belgian artist Kim De Ruysscher knows better than anyone how to amaze people.

With masterful skill and precision, he creates lifelike sculptures from marble, limestone, and other types of natural stone. He imbues his figurative works with an extraordinary sense of realism and outward perfection. He reserves that perfection specifically for mundane subjects drawn from everyday life.

As he himself says, “The things that seemingly go unnoticed still possess a certain grandeur. I emphasize that by capturing these very fleeting elements in centuries-old natural stone.”

In addition to his sculptures, the exhibition also features works by other visual artists, such as

Lilian Steenhuisenand her figurative bronze sculptures. Her style is characterized by slender, graceful forms, often with a touch of exaggeration or humor, and she frequently seeks to express emotions through movement.

Yuri van Zeijl, featuring sculptures made of materials such as wood. Large, life-size, or even larger, in a pure, abstract form

Frits van Tol creates figurative sculptures in stone and bronze, as well as wooden sculptures, in which he explores the dynamics hidden beneath the surface: the tension of muscles, the power of movement, and the expression of poses

Albert Kramer is a versatile artist with a large plastic hare installed in an outdoor space. His plastic sculptures, which can now be found in public spaces throughout the country, are playful in nature, giving them a positive impact on the public.

OnSunday, September 13, the exhibition “If You Love Sculpture!” will open at 3:00 p.m.

Albert Kramer’s work*Lepus* has been given a prominent place in front of the Unit4Art building. The hare symbolizes an appreciation for the little things in life, and that is precisely why this hare is so large.
