Violinist Lucie Sedláková Hůlová and cellist Martin Sedlák have been performing together as the Czech String Duo since 1994. They have given many successful performances, not only in their home country but also at festivals abroad.

Both Lucie and Martin graduated from the Prague Conservatory and the Faculty of Music at the Academy of Performing Arts.

Together with pianist Veronika Böhmová, they form the Kinsky Trio Prague. In addition to their concert activities, they organize successful summer chamber music courses, Pellegrina with the Kinsky Trio and friends, in the Czech Republic.

Lately, Lucie and Martin have also been performing with their two children.

Twenty-year-old Magdalena has been playing the piano since she was five and the violin since she was six. She graduated from the Prague Gymnasium and Music School, where she studied violin with Jiří Fišer. She is currently studying at the Prague Conservatory with Jan Talich.

Seventeen-year-old Lukáš has been playing the cello since he was five. He is a student at the Prague Gymnasium and Music School, where he studies under Martin Škampa. He won an audition to perform as a soloist in Eduard Lalo’s Cello Concerto with the Prague Symphony Orchestra.

Together with their parents, they tour under the name Sedlák Virtuosi and will be coming to the Netherlands at the end of May. During their three concerts, they will perform music by Handel, Vivaldi, Mozart, Haydn, Glière, Borodin, Suk, Sarasate, Dvořák, and Smetana.
