With its special boats, Bootje Kaas takes you to places that remain hidden from other canal tours. Discover the whole story during an approximately 1-hour trip. You’ll cruise in two directions through the canals of Gouda, following the north-south route that for centuries was used by all ships to travel from downtown Gouda to the Hollandse IJssel via the world’s longest lock.
The tour takes you past 11 historic sites, and our skippers will share plenty of fun facts about the city. For our international guests, there’s the option to listen and read along in your own language via a smartphone. Of course, you can also ask them your own questions!

Boarding location
The boarding location for Bootje Kaas is at Kleiwegplein; on the Kattensingel side, you’ll find the boarding pontoon called Dapp’re Daphne. Here, passengers can sit and wait for the next tour.
Please note: Passengers must be able to board and disembark the boat independently.
Private Charters
Bootje Kaas can also be booked as a private charter for exclusive day or evening tours with a group of up to 58 people. (Spread across three boats)
Available with a snack, lunch, or drinks package, as desired.
Prices starting at €300 for 2 hours per boat, including a skipper.
