This year marks the 12th edition, featuring two evenings of gospel music and an afterparty with live music:

  • Thursday, December 17: Berget Lewis, along with the ZA-EL Gospel Choir, conducted by Elvis E
  • Friday, December 18: Shirma Rouse, along with the ZA-EL Gospel Choir, conducted by Elvis E

Berget Lewis is a Dutch soul and gospel singer. She began her musical career in Amsterdam and discovered her love for music at a young age while singing in a church choir, where gospel played a particularly important role. Throughout her career, she has performed in various music projects and musicals and has collaborated with other artists. She is also a member of the group Ladies of Soul, with whom she performs regularly. Berget Lewis is known for her powerful voice and her style within soul and gospel music.

Shirma Rouse is a Dutch soul and gospel singer. She was born in Curaçao and later moved to the Netherlands, where she continued to develop her musical career. From a young age, she sang in church choirs, where her love for gospel music began. Over the years, she collaborated with various artists and performed as a backup singer at major shows and on tours. She later became a solo artist and gained recognition among the general public for her powerful voice and her performances in soul and gospel music. Shirma Rouse is known for her powerful voice, her energy on stage, and her love of soul and gospel.

Elvis E is a well-known name in the gospel world—not only in the Netherlands and Africa, but also in places like the United States, Canada, and Spain. These days, Elvis E’s schedule is filled with wonderful projects as a singer, conductor, music director, or producer. Elvis E has released two albums and is constantly working on new material. Through his music, Elvis E aims to bring people together and heal hearts. With his powerful music, positive outlook on life, and broad smile, he succeeds in doing just that.

ZA-EL Gospel Choir is a professional gospel choir led by artist Elvis E. The group consists of a diverse ensemble of professional singers with incredible voices and radiant performances. ZA-EL Gospel Choir knows how to convey its music in a unique way. The journey of ZA-EL Gospel Choir began in early 2022. As music director of the EO program *Amazing Grace*, Elvis E was tasked with putting together a choir. He selected the best vocalists from his network, who sang over thirty gospel and pop songs across five episodes. During *Amazing Grace*, the choir stood out—not only for its beautiful sound, but also for its flawless looks and professional demeanor. After *Amazing Grace*, Elvis E received an increasing number of requests to feature his “*Amazing Grace* choir.” Following this success, Elvis E came up with a name for his ambitious choir. He woke up with the name “Zaël” in his head. In Hebrew, Zaël means “gift from God.” Through their voices and performances, the ZA-EL Gospel Choir shares God’s gift: pure love. Since then, the group has shared its powerful music on prestigious stages. Examples include TV programs such as “Concert for Change” (NPO), “Kerstduetten” (NPO), “The Talent Scout” (SBS), and “Ranking the Talent” (SBS), where the ZA-EL Gospel Choir won episode 2 in the Singing category. The choir has also performed on a number of Hour of Power tours, a series of Gospel Celebrations, the reopening of Paleis Het Loo, the May 5 concert on the Amstel, and Nicky Romero’s “Nightvision” show at AFAS Live. No matter where the ZA-EL Gospel Choir performs, this group is on a mission. The vocalists are far from done spreading God’s love. And with all those incredible voices, beautiful hearts, and radiant looks, they can keep it up for a long time to come.
