On Sunday, February 2, 100 living rooms will temporarily transform into neighborhood theaters during the amateur arts festival “Gluren bij de Buren Gouda.” Local performing artists will showcase their talent in cozy living rooms throughout the city. The program is now available at www.glurenbijdeburen.nl/programma/gouda.

In Gouda, you can pop into 100 homes for a special performance and a cup of coffee or tea. “Expect lots of live music, but also a Gouda drag queen reading aloud, an African dance workshop, a documentary, a unicycle artist, and even walking trees. More serious stories will also be featured, with performances by refugees from Ukraine and Syria. In addition to many living rooms, all cultural institutions and a number of cafés are participating. Thanks to cultural promoter Ron Eikenhout, many locations in the municipality of Zuidplas are also participating,” says program creator Marcel Kamphuis.

A wide variety of performing artists will take the stage. Start planning your itinerary on the website now. All performances last 30 minutes and take place between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
