Due to the crowds, we recommend traveling to Gouda by public transportation. The city is easily accessible by public transit. You can easily take the train from anywhere in the Netherlands to Gouda Intercity Station. From the station, it’s about a 5-minute walk through the festive Christmas atmosphere to the city center (use the “Centrum” exit).

Do you live in a neighboring municipality? If so, Arriva has a great bus deal for you! Visit www.ns.nl or www.9292.nl to see what time your last train or bus departs.

Are you coming by car after all?
From the A12 and N207 ( coming from the direction of Alphen aan den Rijn), signs will guide you to a parking lot on Heuvellaan and Gentseweg. Starting at 4:00 PM, shuttle buses will run continuously from this location to the bus plaza in front of the train station (city center side) and back to the parking lot. The last shuttle bus departs at 11:30 PM.

From the N228 and N207 (coming from the direction of Bergambacht), you can also park for €8 at the GOUDasfalt parking lot (Gouderaksedijk 32, Gouda) and then take the Gein ferry with all passengers for free to the city center from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Upon arrival, cross the street and walk into the city via the West- or Oosthaven.

Coming by bike?
You’ll find several bike racks all around the Markt where you can park your bike. Additional bike racks will be set up on Herpstraat. Due to the crowds, you cannot park your bike on the Markt itself. Any bikes parked there will be removed.

Parking for Tour Buses
Tour buses can park at the Klein Amerika parking lot. If the lot is full and you are unable to park your tour bus there, you can always drop off and pick up your guests here.

Alternatively, you can park your coach at the Groenheuvel parking lot, located at Heuvellaan 1, 2803 DT Gouda. This is just under 3 km from downtown Gouda.
