On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the latest edition of the Gouds Film Festival will take place in Gouda. An inspiring day of festivities packed with short films, workshops, and opportunities to meet filmmakers from across the country. The festival provides a platform for emerging and mid-career filmmakers with unique, moving, or thought-provoking stories.
The program features screenings of selected short films, discussions with filmmakers, the presentation of the GFF Awards, and the Director’s Chair awards for Best Filmmaker and Young Talent.
This year, GFF is also launching an exclusive collaboration with the Netherlands Film Festival, which is bringing four award-winning shorts to Gouda. In addition, there will be a directing workshop led by Froukje Tan (Kung Fu Lion), in which participants will work on the essence of a scene.
“We want to highlight new voices in film and connect audiences with the creative process behind the scenes,” says the organization. The festival will take place at two venues in Gouda: the Garenspinnerij and Filmhuis Gouda.
