You’re moving, starting a new job, ending a relationship, saying goodbye to a friendship, completing a course of therapy, or changing your name. These are all pivotal moments—positive or negative—that shape your life. Moments that call for attention and recognition. Rituals are symbolic acts through which we consciously reflect on such transitions. In this workshop, ritual designer Elisabeth de Bruin will guide you step by step in creating your own ritual around a change or life stage that deserves to be marked.

Design Your Own Ritual
Faith and rituals are inextricably linked. Through rituals, people express what moves them most deeply and what is dear to them. Anyone who studies human behavior sees that we sometimes do things that aren’t practical, but are full of meaning. Rituals reveal what gives us a sense of grounding. Think of listening to a specific piece of music just before stepping onto the stage, touching a necklace containing your mother’s ashes in a stressful situation, or singing a battle song shoulder to shoulder before a soccer match. These are moments of connection, of slowing down, and of focusing on what truly matters. Rituals briefly lift you above the everyday.

What this workshop offers you:
• A self-created ritual centered around a change or phase in your life that deserves to be marked.
• A creative and profound way of looking at art, faith, and rituals.
• An atmospheric, playful, unhurried, and enriching learning experience.
• Insight into how ritualizing can enrich your life, work, relationships, and daily routine.
• Inspiration and expertise from ritual designer and systemic coach Elisabeth, who designs and facilitates rituals for both personal and organizational challenges.

The workshop fee does not include museum admission. A valid admission ticket is required to participate.
