Plenty of activities at the petting zoo during spring break
Every day, children are welcome to come to the café to do crafts—from coloring pictures to painting a piggy bank; there are plenty of options. No registration is required for these activities. For other activities, you can register via our website. You can also enjoy a meal at the farm in the Deel, including fresh sandwiches, delicious pancakes, and mini pancakes.
Op maandag 20 april wordt van 10.30 – 11.30 uur de dreumes- en peuterochtend georganiseerd op kinderboerderij De Goudse Hofsteden. De allerkleinste kinderen (< 4 jaar) gaan samen met papa, mama, opa of oma kleine dieren knuffelen in de knuffelhoek en dieren voeren onder begeleiding van een dierverzorger. Daarnaast maken ze een klein knutseltje.
In the afternoon, children can make an insect watering station. Insects like bees, butterflies, and bumblebees need water to survive. They need a spot where they can easily land and stay dry. Children will help them by making an insect watering station. They’ll use various materials to do this. With a small dish, pebbles, shells, and moss, they’ll create a lovely spot for insects. To finish it off, they’ll turn a stone into a little bee or a ladybug.
The Pony and Donkey Morning will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Children will help take care of the ponies and donkeys, make a fun pony craft, and bake a pony cupcake.
In the afternoon, children can make window decorations between 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. They can choose from a variety of designs and color them in using special paint or markers. This activity is suitable for children ages 5 and up.
Wednesday, April 22: Nature Party as part of Fête de la Nature. Angela and Erna invite you to their nature party. They’ve come up with a fun physical activity for children ages 6–10, preceded by a short puppet show. Eight children can participate per session. Sign up quickly to secure a spot. The activity will be held three times and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Start times: 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 23 Today , some special animals are coming to visit: owls and birds of prey. From 10:15–11:15 a.m. or from 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m., you can learn all about these special animals under the guidance of an animal caretaker from Uil Topia. There is a maximum number of participants. This is a parent-child activity. As a parent, you are also required to pay for participation. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time.
In the afternoon, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., children can make stick animals. In addition to the classic hobby horse, they can choose from sheep, cows, pigs, and other animals. With these handmade animals, children can walk and jump through an obstacle course in the ponies’ sandbox.
Friday, April 24| Who Dares?? In the morning, a number of unique animals will be visiting the Exotus Serpenti petting zoo. From 10:00–11:00 a.m. or from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., you can learn all about these unique animals under the guidance of one of their animal caretakers. There is a maximum number of participants. This is a parent-child activity. Participants must be 4 years or older.
In the afternoon, children can create a mini vegetable garden. They’ll paint the garden box, fill it with soil, and plant and sow seeds.

Enjoy even more time at the petting zoo—during the holidays, it’s open on Mondays too! And you don’t have to leave for lunch either; during the holidays, you can enjoy delicious mini pancakes and freshly baked pancakes.
