Experience the Steam Train Days on October 11 and 12, 2025!
For steam enthusiasts, this is the event to mark on your calendar! On Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, 2025, the Dutch Steam Foundation will open its doors during the Steam Train Days. Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., you’re welcome to come and enjoy a unique historical steam experience—for young and old alike.
Steam Trains in Action
During this special weekend, our own locomotives will operate shuttle services between Gouda Station and our steam depot on Rolf Hartkoornweg in Rotterdam. Our authentic BM passenger cars will ensure an atmospheric ride. And who knows—we might even welcome some impressive guest locomotives!
Activities at the
Steam Depot There’s plenty to do at the depot. A wooden train set awaits the youngest engineers, while hobbyists can indulge themselves at the many market stalls. A highlight is the model train layout built entirely from LEGO—a real treat for the eyes! Of course, there are also plenty of tasty treats available to enjoy during your visit.
Visit Gouda
Make your visit even more special with a stopover in Gouda. Upon arrival on our steam train, you can explore the famous cheese town before taking a later train back to our depot.
