Art Discovery Day

During the May break, children in Gouda can explore their creativity at the Art Discovery Day on Wednesday, April 29, at Cultuurhuis Garenspinnerij, Turfsingel 34. The Art Discovery Day is a free event that lets children experience, in an accessible way, just how fun and versatile art can be. Advance online registration is required.


Together with Jeugdtheaterhuis, the Garenspinnerij is organizing an afternoon of art, music, and theater for children ages 7 to 12 (grades 4 through 8). The theme of the day is IN THE AIR! — a playful and surprising journey of discovery through various art forms. 
During three workshop sessions, the children will get hands-on with theater, music, and visual arts. They are encouraged to experiment, try things out, and above all, create on their own. No experience is necessary; everyone can participate.

At the end of the afternoon, the children will present their work in the Garenspinnerij’s theater hall. Parents, family, and other interested parties are warmly invited to attend.
